I am so excited to be your math teacher this year! When I was young, I really struggled with math and I always felt that I was never good at it. However, I've learned that we are ALL mathematicians - some of us just need to learn in different ways. The most important part about math is perseverance. We will work together to tackle these new 4th grade concepts. Now I love math and I hope that throughout our year together you will learn to love it too (or at least like it).
This is my 10th year teaching and my 9th year at Walton Farm. For 8 of those years, I have been a fourth grade teacher. I graduated from North Penn and went to West Chester University. I completed my masters degree at Gratz College. My husband and I live in West Chester with our two boxers, Bruiser and Atlas.
I have always loved to read; when I was young, I think I read every book that RL Stine wrote! OK, probably not, but I was constantly at the book store. I also love to make things. In my spare time, I make signs out of wood. I also enjoy crafting, sewing and knitting scarves. Since the age of ten, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I still love the first day of school. I am so fortunate to work in North Penn because I had a great experience here and I look forward to being a part of yours! |
